I want to thank you for selecting Maple Talent Hub Inc. (‘MTH”) to provide you with Career Advising Services (“Services”).
This is a Letter of Engagement (“LOE/Agreement”) and will outline our understanding of the Services you would like to contract from MTH. It will also serve as a legally binding contract. You agree to abide by all policies and procedures as outlined in this agreement as a condition of your participation in Services.
Our Services
We provide services that facilitate your career development. Our Services can involve asking you to undertake specific tasks such as taking courses and assessments and working on cover letters, resumes. Additionally, you may be asked to set up or revise your Linkedln accounts, join networking groups, and get a professional picture taken. You may be also asked to apply for particular jobs, track job applications you have applied for and participate in mock interviews. We will only make requests and/or recommendations related to your career. It will be your choice to accept or reject those requests.
Our Services may include but will not be limited to:

Cover Letter: Write compelling cover letters.
LinkedIn: Optimize your LinkedIn profile for visibility and branding.

In-person/Online Events: Networking techniques for events.

Resume Tailoring: Tailor resumes for specific jobs.
Profile Match Score: Assess and improve your job profile match.

Likability Factor: Enhance your interview likability.
Confidence & Mindset Training: Positive thinking and resilience.
Group Sessions
Group sessions are designed to provide collective guidance and support on specific topics. Each participant is expected to engage actively and respect the contributions of others.
Private Sessions
Private sessions are one-on-one meetings focused on individual needs. Clients must schedule these sessions in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling require a 24-hour notice.
These services provide comprehensive job search support, helping you present yourself effectively and navigate the job market confidently.
There is no guarantee of receiving all listed Services. Response to your queries will, generally, be answered within 2 business days. However, some specific queries may take longer.
Your Commitment
This engagement is a partnership between you and MTH. It is designed to facilitate and carry out a strategy for achieving career development. Under this engagement, you will be responsible for creating and implementing your own decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from this engagement. As such, you agree that MTH will not be responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any Services provided by MTH.
You agree to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance and devote the time and energy to participate fully in this engagement. During the term of this Agreement, you should not lie or otherwise mislead MTH about your background, experience, education credentials, and other matters linked to our engagement.
You will give MTH permission to release to recruiters, alumni, MTH Network partners or referral sources of any kind and to publish in print and online certain personal information about you. The information that you are hereby granting the MTH permission to release and publish include the following:
1. Your name
2. Your contact information
3. Your educational qualifications
4. Your area of study
5. Your resume
6. Your cover letter
7. Your photograph
8. Your social media handles
9. Any materials you submit to MTH in the process
10. Your work authorization status
11. Organizations where you have accepted a full-time offer of employment and/or internship
You understand that the purpose of MTH’s release and/or publication of such information is to connect you with career growth opportunities.
You will be respectful of the program at all times and you should endeavor to participate in all activities that MTH suggests you undertake.
Additionally, you agree to inform your Advisor 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend a advising session or a meeting with the Advisor.
Representation
MTH is strictly a career advising company that provides individuals with career advising services to facilitate their professional development. We are not a temporary help agency, recruiter, employer, career college or educational institution. We do not represent that by entering into this engagement we guarantee you with any specific interviews/jobs with specific companies or individuals, salary or time frame to obtain a new position or promotion, salary increases, bonus programs or other increases in remuneration.
Term
This Agreement is for a term of 4 weeks. (“Engagement Period”)
During this period, there will be Resume tailoring and LinkedIn Optimization training in a group session. Along with that, 2 sessions on personalized mock interviews.
Our Fees
You will be charged a fee of CAD $299 + applicable taxes for our Services for the term of our Engagement Period. To commence our Services, you should pay of CAD $299 + applicable taxes before the commencement of services.
Termination of Services
You can terminate our Services under this Agreement by providing us with a one-week termination notice. Termination charges are $299 + Tax
MTH may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, without any notice, during the term of this Agreement.
Record-Retention-Policy
Your records will be maintained by MTH in a format of our choice for a period of not less than 2 years.
Limitation of Liability
Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, MTH makes no guarantees, representations or warranties of any kind or nature, express or implied with respect to the Services negotiated, agreed upon and rendered. In no event shall MTH be liable to you for any indirect, consequential or special damages. Notwithstanding any damages that you may incur, MTH’s entire liability under this Agreement, and your exclusive remedy, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you under this Agreement for all Services rendered through and including the termination date.
Indemnification
You agree to protect, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify, MTH and its successors, assigns, directors, officers, employees, agents and affiliates from and against all claims, demands, actions, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, settlements, judgments, costs, and expenses, including but not limited to reasonable legal fees and costs, actually or allegedly, directly or indirectly, arising out of or related to any breach of obligation or duty under this Agreement.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable. If the Court finds that any provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable but that by limiting such provision, it would become valid and enforceable, then such provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Province of Ontario, Canada and courts in Peel Region of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of this Agreement.
Assignment
This Agreement and all rights and obligations hereunder may not be assigned without the written consent of the other party.
Waiver
The failure of either party to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver or limitation of that party’s right to subsequently enforce and compel strict compliance with every provision of this Agreement.
